Hi William,
We did Option 2 just last week, as Dan suggested. We used, one, 2-pole relay
with the coil run directly from the Outback Aux relay (using the Mate Gen
Alert function to control).
We did have a problem initially with it not working, even though the
contacts closed when we wanted. We swapped sides of the contacts and fiddled
with the grounding and it works just fine, now. Using a separate SP relay
from the Outback Aux to close the contacts on the DP relay may solve this
problem, if you encounter it.
