480/277 Backfeed [RE-wrenches]

Hi Esteemed Colleagues,
(and you too Matt  : )  )

Does anyone know if all 480 Main breakers are required to be GFI by 
the code?  And if so are they generally not rated for backfeeding? 
We have successfully been able to downsize our Main to meet 690 point 
of connection but the GFI issue is a new one to me.

I have my electrician and electrical engineer working on this - but 
their answers and research are as slow as molasses sometimes.  Be 
nice to know what I'm workign with.
