Ron:
My information is that the only pre-wired Outback systems are limited to
the PS2 backboard. If you want to expand beyond two inverters, use an X240
with reasonable room to install, add more than a limited number of breakers
or avoid cramped wiring space, I recommend instead the PS4. This must be
field wired because the mounting plate is manufactured in two pieces.
By the way: The manual and all third party pre-wirers recommend using red
and black to differentiate phases. I've seen short circuits between input
and output on factory wired systems using this color scheme. I recommend
instead that you use one color for AC input and the other for AC
output. Phase crossings are inconsequential but cross connecting input and
output wiring will cause your system to malfunction.
