PG&E ends E-7 Time of Use metering [RE-wrenches]

California Wrenches in PG&E territory should be
interested to know that as of May 1, 2006 the utility
will no longer accept applications for the E-7
residential Time of Use metering rate.

They are going to offer a new rate called E-6, which
hasn't been clearly defined to the public as of yet.
It has been hinted at that E-6 will not be as
beneficial to customers. I have a colleague rushing
off to the local office to submit an application and
check as I write this.

If any of you have customers wanting to switch to TOU,
now is the time to act.

Best,

Jerry Caldwell
Berkeley, CA
