Wrenches -

We've been using the Direcway 6000 system here for about a year and half.
Speed is frustrating after a visit to town but vastly better than our
dial-up option. The most noticable hassle is that we can't get good
streaming video or high bandwidth radio stations. Service in Canada has
been reasonably good. Once we needed to have the satellite reaimed which
was a hassle but the service provider paid for the service call.

Power consumption is pretty reasonable but certainly noticable. We have had
very little down time. We had no difficulty installing Mac or Windows
computers on the system.

Our island is looking into a wireless WAN, I'll keep you all posted if it
proves to be feasable from an energy and financial perspective.

Cheers
