Howdy All,

We at Great Solar works have built a demonstration home and have [3] Solar
Hot Water systems and [1] 1200 watt Tracked PV Grid Inter-Tie with
battery-backup system, and have a home office. We were talking with our
accountant as to how to deal with the write off aspect of showing the home
during alternative home building tours and to prospective solar clients on
an almost weekly basis.

Our accountant suggested that we could lease our home for up to 14 days per
year to the business at a rate determined by local one day rates based on
home values in our area.

My question is for those of you who use your own home as a demonstration
project for client to view too is - How have you handled this from a write
off point of view ?
