Greetings all,

I have a question about mixing modules/manufacturers within series
strings.

I did a number of off-grid systems with Shell's SQ160s. I set them up
as 24 volt systems, sized the home run conductors for the basic system
telling the owners they could add modules in series (up to 60Vdc and
utilizing an MX60). Now I can't get Shell product.

To make matters worse, the client who wants to add more modules at the
moment has three series strings of two SQ160s and my plan was to add an
SQ80 to the strings of SQ160s to make 60VDC nominal which is as high as
I should take the MX60 in northern Wisconsin (the SQ80 utilizes the
exact same cells as the SQ160, it just has 36 cells rather than 72).

Any info or guidelines on mixing and matching would be appreciated. It
would seem that as long as the electrical specifications are a very
close match, no problem???

Thanks in advance -- Kurt
