Carl and Kurt,

We have been running an older mac laptop off of a vfx3524 for about three
years.  Interestingly enough, at one point we did have a problem with the
computer repeatedly disconnecting from the internet.  After some head
scratching and hair pulling we realized that the problem coincided with the
plugging in of an old spare phone in another building.  When the old phone
was replaced with a new phone no more problem.


And speaking of noise, I recently purchased some Sylvania BR30 15w cfls from
lowes ($7.28) to install in can lighting powered with a vfx3524.
Unfortunately, the lights pick up what sounds like the inverter hum.

I have had good luck with Phillips triple tube cfls and so picked up a 16w
Phillips BR30 from the electrical wholesaler ($10.15).  Thankfully, the
phillips BR30 is silent like the Phillips triple tubes have been.  I intend
to try the Sylvania BR30 with grid power to determine if the noise is
independant of the inverter.
