Brad and Dean,

The shiny nature of the glass has very little to do with off-angle
performance, it is more of a personal preference. Within any given
manufacturer, some models may have a "glossy" finish while others have a
"satin" finish. Several years ago, one particular manufacturer reserved
"glossy" modules for Europe--because that was the preferred look; whereas
they reserved "satin" modules for the U.S. market because that was preferred
here. You either have to look at the module or specifically ask the
manufacturer which glass is used. There is no "stippled" glass used in the
PV market--that is mostly used in the thermal industry.

in my experience the Kyocera modules diffuse reflection, and Evergreens 
are shiny.
