This is one case where the SW inverter would be superior.  You could feed 
the AC In 2 with grid power and still have a single throw disconnect on the 
AC In 1.  This may be a signal to Outback to consider building in two AC 
inputs.

This begs the question:  Why would the utility want to lock out a system 
unless there was an outage?

I did not intend to make this an Outback bash, but now that I think of it, 
I have a complaint:  switching off the sell mode in the Outback is no easy 
operation.  With the SW, just switch to the Float mode.  With the Outback, 
you have to raise the sell voltage, not a very positive switch.  Chris, 
here are two suggestions I think are very valid.
