Hi Jay,
I haven't done a survey, but the feedback I've gotten is that some gen set
contractors evolved into PV system installers but very few PV system
contractors added gen set installation and service to their offerings. PV
installers have cleaner tools but about the same number of busted knuckles
as gen set mechanics, wouldn't you say?

Hi Joel,
1. Since they bought the genny they keep it, even if they don't use
it. But more and more folks are spending more to upgrade the PV to
keep genny run time down, with fuel prices being the biggest reason.
2. I don't sell gennys. That way I'm not responsible and don't have
to do the repairs. I do recommend what type and from whom though.
