Indefinite but if you want to activate them you will need to fill with acid
and supply a "conditioning" charge which is pretty high current. It has
something to do with helping form & activate the positive plate. Most of us
won't have facilities for doing this.
I was once supplied a set that had not had this charge and they just would
not charge up or hold a charge.

Greetings all,
Flooded lead-acid batteries apparently start to age as soon as they
become flooded, and need periodic maintenance charges even if sitting
unused (or better to float?).
Question: What's the shelf life if new batteries are bought and stored
dry?
