Hi there Wrenches. There are several items in this email so please check it all out. If you have any questions, please contact me OFF LIST.

There are 223 of you on this list now, of varying sizes, shapes, and political and religious persuasions. The list celebrated its 6th anniversary last October, and it is doing great! 

1. Please read the Wrenches List etiquette document. It does a pretty good job of outlining the intent and purposes of the list, and what sort of things might detract from that. It has recently been updated, and can be viewed or downloaded at www.mrsharkey.com/wrenches/etiquette.php

2. Not all of you have updated your online bios, and some Wrench members have complained that they do not know who they are communicating with. Please register on Sharkey's Wrench pages, check out your bio, and update it as soon as possible. If you do not have a bio there (please check carefully) you must register and submit one. The bios and registration page are found at www.mrsharkey.com/wrenches/. Please do not lose your password and login.

3.  The RE-Markets list was set up specifically for discussing marketing and similar topics that are related to installing dealers. It is also the best place to discuss region-specific incentives, etc., so not everyone on the Wrench list needs to toil through discussions that do not relate to their geographic area. It is the right place to forward customer leads and to let other wrenches know of rare or unusual items of equipment needed.

To join the RE-Markets list, send an email to RE-Markets-subscribe at topica.com. Please note that I do not administer that list, but rather Bill Roush does. If you have questions or problems, please contact him directly.

4. The RE-Bitching list is a no-holds-barred, private list that is available only to Wrench list members. That list is the perfect place to blast or bless your politicians, customers, each other, etc. That list was specifically set up to provide a place for Wrenches to talk about whatever they want that is considered off-topic for the Wrench or Markets list. It is self-regulated and is not read by the public. It gets very little use, so any additional email load will be low.

If you would like to be added to that list, please send an email message to: RE-Bitching-subscribe at topica.com. Be sure to use the same email address you use for RE-Wrenches, so that I can cross reference you to verify that you are a Wrench list member before addition.

5. Some of you have Internet hosts that are using spam filters to modify the Subject line to indicate that an email might be spam. If anyone replies to a message that has that stuff in the Subject, please edit it out before sending. That way, your message will not look like spam to the rest of us, and will look much cleaner.
