I seem to remember that being a Photron gizmo. I have 4 or 5 of them still
out in the field and might be able to look one of these days.
Matt and Kurt,
Photron made a tiny solid state LED-based monitor called the Batterylite,
until they "disappeared" around 1998. The Batterylite was a remarkable
sophisticated product at the time, sort of a "very smart voltmeter" with
trend indicators, warnings, etc. It was the only non-shunt-based monitor
that was actually usable.
The BCM (Battery Condition Meter) is a more basic but useful LED-based
voltmeter, that has been made for years by SunAmp Power of Arizona, and was
later carried (and manufactured) by ETA Engineering. I just heard that
SunAmp went bankrupt recently. ETA Engineering is still around, and their
website lists the product as available; see
http://www.etaengineering.com/meters/bcm.shtml. I left a message asking
about this product on ETA's voicemail. If I get any useful info about the
BCM, I'll post it here.
