Wrenches,
We need a separate DC load center for general use, so I'm putting out the
idea here. I have sometimes wished there was an easy way to add DC breakers
at remote locations, such as a subpanel disconnect for a pressure pump in a
well pit. The best we have is Square D QO, but that's DC rated only to 50V,
so it won't work on 48V systems, and John Wiles doesn't like it on 24V
either (though we use it because it's all we have). But with more 48V
systems going in, it's becoming more of a problem.

The funny part is, a solution is almost here already. So I'm also sending
this to the Outback crew. Hey, mates! We offgrid Wrenches need you to
develop an OBDC equivalent to the Square D QO2-4L70S and the QO6-12L100S. A
QO2-4L70RB for outdoor applications would be sweet, too, and take a look at
the QO403LNS, that's used to make inverter bypass switches. Your breakers
have higher DC voltage ratings than the QOs. It would be easy at this point
to develop a listed product, wouldn't it? And while you're at it, list it
for both AC and DC, and we can use it either way, and you'll sell more
product, as we can phase out carrying three types of breakers (QO, CD/CF,
and OB, not to mention also keeping a few QOU, GJ, and miscellaneous AC
stock breakers) in favor of using your breakers for nearly everything. How
about it?
