Does anyone know the actual effeciency of the charger in the SW - is it
80-90% or is it much lower?
Quite a bit lower, perhaps in the 50-60% efficiency range but it depends
a lot on the generator as well as battery voltage. Transformer based
chargers need to utilize the peak of the wave-form for charging and many
gen-sets, especially cheap/undersized ones, often have much lower peaks
than grid power.
One other thought, what do you have the max charger amps and maximum AC2
amps set at?
