Hey Michael - I think you have the vented version of the FX series? They 
are significantly louder than the sealed version due to the air flow 
through the fan and screening.  

We often advise using the sealed versions indoors as they are much 
quieter - its very hard to tell if the inverter or the fan is even 
running with these versions.  You do loose a bit of power capability 
(2500W versus 3600 watts) but often that is not an issue of many 
systems.  

The TURBO cooling fan (and external fan which adds 500 watts to the 
sealed units) makes them about the same noise level as the vented 
versions - so I usually either suggest the sealed without the turbo for 
noise sensitive installations or advise locating the equipment somewhere 
else and using the turbo or vented models.  

If this is an issue for you and your staff then we can swap these vented 
units for the sealed version - let me know.
