Dan and Graham,

That document used my CEC document as the basis. It is good to see
manufacturers agreeing with the numbers, but remember that an INVERTER
manufacturer was admitting that PV MODULES have tolerance issues. The CEC PV
Installation Guide can be downloaded from:
http://www.energy.ca.gov/reports/2001-09-04_500-01-020.PDF.

Xantrex Technology has a well-written 2-page document on Calculating
Actual PV System Output.  The document addresses module production
tolerance, temperature, dirt & dust, wiring loss, module mismatch,
battery system losses (if applicable) and conversion loss for a total
de-rating factor of 0.67 (without battery).  The link to this 2-page
