Hi Kurt,
The SW fan has a 4 level control, and should not be at high speed if the environment is cool and the load is light. Probably best to contact the nearest service center for help with this.

Subject: SW fan operation [RE-wrenches]
Greetings all,
One of our systems installed back in 98 or 99 that has an original SW in
a grid-tie with battery back-up has a new development. It seems to be
working okay although now the fan runs continuous and at high speed,
even though there is little load or production on the inverter.
Can anyone tell me if the fan uses software or just a simple temperature
sensor to operate the fan? Also, if we decide to fix it, is this
something that is easily field serviceable. It probably uses a pretty
small amount of energy but noise is also an issue for this customer.
Thanks in advance.
Kurt Nelson
