Allan,

We've had Starband for 2 years in our on-grid home. They've gone from
being horribly unreliable and difficult, to being pretty easy. But
understand that with their current system, you are limited to 4 users.
That's not 4 at any one time, it's 4 computers, max, always the same
computers. (You may be able to get around this by physically swapping
out Ethernet cables to the Starband modem, but as we've got the older
version, I don't know about the "Series 480").

We had to have our network consultant do quite a bit of assistance and
learning to get ours to work in a broader network environment, but as I
say, we're on the "360 modem" .

Bottom line, ours works well, except in heavy rain. Try to find someone
using the series 480 modem, and see how they are networking it, if they
are.

Starband and Direcway satellite internet providers and hardware, as we
