Anyone used Bergey's new XL.1 diversion load? I had heard it was in an
outdoor enclosure. Why?

I have three XL.1's in the field. All three have had alternator burn out
and I have installed edgewound resistors from Digi Key on one. That solved
the problem of nuisance tripping of the breaker and seems to be protecting
the turbine.

As for the other two, which are within a half mile of each other, one
controller has a 'beta' chip installed. I believe it is set to delay trip
time and slightly raise the amperage limit for the breaker as well. I will
be installing the test chip at the neighbors place soon. The hope is to
avoid purchasing a dump load.

The BWC controller also has miniscule knockouts for the size of wire
the lugs are intended to accomodate.
