I use a palm-based freeware version of SunAngle that I downloaded some time
ago.  It was created by Greg Bell using algorithms created by Christopher
Gronbeck.  I don't have a direct weblink, but you can email
sunangle_palm at yahoo.com to ask for a copy.

It has both an altitude and compass plotting feature.  Just rotate your PDA
to point the arrow north, and it shows where the sun will rise and set
today, in summer, and winter.  The altitude plots the sun's arc, with a dot
representing the sun's position at this moment.  Both refresh every minute
or so.
