Maybe it is just part of living in Mt. Shasta, but I often run into people
that will blindly "invest" in these kinds of scams, rather than sound
technologies like solar, wind or micro-hydro.  I know a local man that
invested over $10K in a "pre-sale" for a (perpetual motion machine)
generator perpetuated by http://www.ucsofa.com.  I guess some students
didn't pay attention in their high school science classes.  It is bad enough
to be faced with the "what is the payback of solar energy" idiots, without
the "free energy" and "zero point" folks too. I often wonder what it will
take to get people to really understand that RE works and is a no brainer if
we are to survive on this planet.
