DC kWh meter [RE-wrenches]

Bob,

That's the path I was thinking down as well. They have a 0-500 vdc prescaler option. It will still require a 12 or 24 vdc source to power the meter.

Regards,

Has anyone looked at using the e-meter set to KWH setting, it has a bunch of
unneeded functions in this usage but will do the job.

Bob

Brand's stuff sounds great, and Ethan is truly helpful over the phone, but
our experience is that the stuff is just not ready for prime time. More like
a science experiment. And the equipment is very temperamental to work with
also. In theory it came to us "factory setup" a couple of times and our
techs (me included) somehow screwed it up in the field. (Mind you, we manage
to not do this to anyone else's equipment, really.)

So we've put Brand on the "learned our lesson" list. Too bad, as they looked
like they'd be more than a custom shop.

You might check with Brand Electronics. http://www.brandelectronics.com/
They list custom design and manufacturing as part of their services.

Their portable AC watt hour meters work great.

Fellow Wrenches,

I have a customer interested in installing a DC kWh meter between his
PV array and batteryless grid tie inverter. Any suggestions on what to
use?

Thanks!
