Rain-X on module glass? [RE-wrenches]

Graham,

Rain-X doesn't last all that long so the question is whether it makes enough
difference to apply it every year. I guess the best thing to suggest is try
it on half the array and see if there is a visible benefit. If not, don't do
it.

Bill.

Subject: Rain-X on module glass? [RE-wrenches]

I have a telecom customer who asks if applying "Rain-X" to module
glazings (many dozens of ST20's and 40's) will allow for faster shedding
of snow? Location, upper Midwest. They have noticed that the black ST's
shed snow faster than single crystal but is there any potential for
Rain-X to block any sunlight, get sticky and have soiling issues?
