Hi Kurt, actually there IS a good quality, code-compliant NEMA
plug/outlet that's specifically for DC. It's the NEMA FSL-1-30P, rated
for 28-volt, 30-amp with a locking 3-prong design. But good luck trying
to find any. All my years in this industry, and I'd have never known
about it if John Wiles hadn't mentioned it...almost in passing...while
talking about acceptable DC plugs and outlets in his "Suggested
Practices". Found here:
