Electrons flow from higher to lower voltage, so there's *no way* that 60
volts at the AC1 terminals could possibly feed anything back into the
115 volt grid.
Christopher explained something similar to this a month or two ago when
we were talking about voltage showing up on ground of an SW. It's
esoteric, but boiled down to something like a static charge. With that
voltage difference, it sure isn't going anyplace.
Cheers,

Subject: SW feeding back voltage to grid [RE-wrenches]

Friends:

I have a new client, first visit will be this weekend. He claims his SW

system, connected to but not yet approved for grid tie, is feeding
voltage
back to the grid when disconnected. In other words, if AC in 1 is
disconnected, a voltage of about 60 volts is present on the AC in 1
terminals.

Is this scenario familiar to anyone out there?

Thanks in advance.

William Miller
