That is common practice among all module manufacturers. There may be some
differences, but modules warranties are very carefully written: good to
replace module failures, bad for performance claims. If anyone thinks they
are going to get much of anything out of a 20-year-old array producing 65%
of original rating, I've got some swamp land I'd love to sell you.

Another issue with PT is what the warranty on the module states. I've
heard of one mfg. that only warranted their modules for 80% of the
minimum rating of the module. In other words, minus 10% for tolerance
and then take 80% of that before you have a warranty claim. That's 72
watts out of 100. I don't know if any of the mfg. still do this, but it
would be worth looking into. I think most of the mfg. give a warranty
for a percentage of the ave. rated power, not minimum.
