Can anyone confirm that _any_ funded program in any state gets its
money from other than on the backs of the overcharged utility rate
payer base?
Bill,
"The Infinite Power of Texas renewable energy education campaign was
funded 100% with oil overcharge funds from the Exxon settlement as
provided by the Texas State Energy Conservation Office and the U.S.
Department of Energy."
Couldn't have said it better myself. Seems that Exxon forgot to tell the
state about some royalty payments for offshore drilling in the Gulf of
Mexico.
Lousiana is in the same situiation with E-M as we speak. $Millions have
been awarded by federal courts for the same royalty violations but the
appeals drag on. It took almost a decade to get ours.
SECO, http://www.infinitepower.org does a great job with schools as well
as renewable public education.
All we need now is a rebate program.
