Astropower's star implodes into a red dwarf [RE-wrenches]

Astropower, a once proud and independent PV manufacturer, announced earlier
this week that it was entering into Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Any thoughts or
commentary out there on what this means for the PV industry? Does an
independent PV manufacturer not have much of a future in a world dominated
by the PV subsidiaries of BP, Shell, Kycocera, Sharp, Sanyo, Mitsubishi,
etc.?

(Michael, I hope that this is considered an acceptable topic for this
forum.)
