For real perfomance monitoring - I like the products from Dent 
Instruments - also known as Pacific Science and Technology - 

www.pacscitech.com

They offer some nice single and three phase units with 
modems/ethernet/rf communication options.  We use them here at OutBack 
for monitoring tests all the time.  

These were private labeled as a Trace product at one time for a short 
while - there were quite a few in stock at one time... How about one of 
the Xantrex distributors from the list seeing if they still have any 
collecting dust in the warehouse that they want to sell at a cheap 
price? I'd buy a couple ...
