Piezo sparking stove [RE-wrenches]

My Dacor gas stovetop is connected to the grid and also sparks on its own
when water or moisture gets on the sensor. Been doing it ever since we got
it in 1990. We try to keep water and moisture away from the sensor, but
sometimes a pot of water sweats and it happens.
