Daryl,

They are lead-antimony. A typical size would be around 735 ah.
The weight is another thing! A 2 volt cell eighs about 120 lbs, a 12 volt
case about 590 lbs.
With the big ones, you have to be versed in the Egyptian methods for moving
stuff or have access to
mechanised equipment. Some of the larger batteries can weigh up to about
1,400 lbs. :-)
A hassle, but woth it!
