The higher your battery voltage is going into a modified sine wave
inverter, the higher the peak voltage is on the output. To compensate
for this (regulate 120v rms) we narrow the width of the pulse. Some
loads may not like either the high peak voltage or the narrow pulse
width or both. When it comes to mod sine compatability, there are three
kinds of loads, 1. Ones that work 2. Ones that don't work and 3. Ones
that work dependant upon battery voltage. It sounds like your sensitive
loads fall under #3.
