normal electrical question [RE-wrenches]

Hi Jay,

I've worked with this stuff before. It's pretty cool though I never really
understood why it was worth using in the first place. It's great for turning
on the same light from dozens of locations I guess! In any case, once you've
got it, it would be a lot of work to replace with 120V switching.

Let me know if it is a three-wire or two-wire relay (LV side) and if they
are GE units. These should have a side-rocking switch with a center position
and a side to side momentary on and off position. If so, I just called
another electrician who I know worked with this stuff and he says he has a
bunch of relays and switched new in the box and would be willing to part
with them if you need them. He's also worked with them a lot so would
probably have some tips.

Let me know directly at the email below.

Cheers,

Subject: normal electrical question [RE-wrenches]

Hi All,

Say I've got a older home that is a medallion home. It uses 6v AC switches
that control relays for the lights.

Anybody have any experience with this, and if so, where can I get some
replacement relays and switches?

many thanks,

jay
