PV south facing north of the equator on North facing roofs [RE-wrenches]

Maybe this is the unobvious-obvious, but you can mount PV on north-facing
roofs and tip them up towards the south with a raised up space [ as in 1 or
2 modules spacer] under the bottom PV module to accommodate the "lift "
required to get all of the PV modules in the year round sun. I have had to
do this to avoid the shading on south facing roofs. Or pole mount it? Or
ground mount it? Or trim the trees Or..............
Please apply the common sence. Jack it up and go for it.
