Got it.  That makes sense <seemingly>.  That is a pretty amazing leap of
confused neurons for them to even attempt that connection.  Kind of par for
the course with them, kind of scary too.  We should find out all who
authored the proposal and let them know that it's not the solar
programs--but THEIR days in office that are numbered!

I just got off the phone with the director at CALSEIA about this. She
informs me that "this problem seems to be taken care of". Seems is an
interesting word, isn't it?

The underlying stupidity of the REPUBLICANS behind this drive is mind
boggling; this money comes from rate payers, not the general fund! So they
put a thousand or so people out of business, lose all that tax money,
increase pollution and just basically screw-up the entire industry so they
can eliminate a few jobs in State government? That makes as much sense as
re-calling Davis I guess.

Like Joel says, there are still plenty of bucks in the coffers at present -
but these bozos in the State house need to be reminded that it's not tax
payer money - ergo - not theirs to re-direct!
