You are doomed to less the ideal performance. ;-)

Actually, the easiest way to see how bad of a problem it is--use a good AC
Watt meter to measure the output of the SW grid-connected with no critical
loads connected. Compare that value to the Volt-Amp output of the inverter
using a good true RMS clamp-on ammeter and a good voltage measurement. This
measurement should be done at or above 2kW of output.

One definition of Power factor is Watts/Volt-amps. If that value is less
than 0.8, you have a problem that should be fixed.

I remember that thread. My SW's software is too old (v3.0) to offer that
adjustment and as it is a series one unit (and I have the IC's) it is too
much
of a pain in the ass to swap chipsets since the unit needs to be taken off
the
wall to gain access.
