There absolutely will be an upgrade path for the existing units - both 
24 and 48 vdc models.  It is basically a software upgrade... but... due 
to the UL/utility mindset - we will do it by shipping a swap-out unit to 
you the dealer to exchange with the old one.  The issue for them is that 
the complete inverter has to go through the production line test setup 
that has the official blessing on it - testing the computer board itself 
is not apparently enough...

As far as the upgrade cost - it will be as cheap as possible. We are 
working on an upgrade program summary - I will post regarding it here on 
the wrenches list once we are certain of the co$t etc.
