NABCEP test disclosure [RE-wrenches]

William,

Basically, you are allowed to take your clothing into the test, that's it.
Pencils, a calculator (one of those non-HP type that mess me up since I'm a
nerd engineer who really like Reverse Polish Notation!), and scrap paper are
provided.

Additionally, you are not allowed to write anything down anywhere until the
test starts, so you need to have those formulas memorized for at least about
15 minutes while the proctor goes through the instructions.

The way I learned to memorize the trig functions as a kid was through a
stupid saying:

Oliver Holds Ancient Hats Over Apples

That's O/H (= Sin), A/H (=Cos), O/A (=Tan).

Believe me, I use this mnemonic almost every day. All the other formulas are
simply derived from these.

And if these formulas are the worst of your fears, you'll do fine.

Friends:

I have a question about the trigonometry portion of the test:

I enjoy mathematics, I use it every day and I consider myself somewhat good
at it. I do have common formulas in my palm pilot as well as the
scientific calculator. I would consider it wrong headed to require test
participants to memorize trig. formulas. There is only so much room in one
brain, and I think it unwise to clutter it with information easily found in
a handy reference. Give me any triangle and my notes and a cacluator.and I
will analyses it. Deprive me of my basic notes, and I am lost.

Below is the sum total of the notes I would need. Would I be allowed to
take these and my scientific calculator into the test?

Will I be allowed plenty of scratch paper? I am a graphic oriented
thinker, and I can work out complex problems, but I need to draw myself a
picture!

Trig functions:
SIN A=OPP/HYP
SIN A * HYP = OPP

TAN A = OPP/ADJ
TAN A * ADJ = OPP

TAN -1 OPP/ADJ = A

COS A = ADJ/HYP
COSA*HYP=ADJ
COS-1 ADJ/HYP = A
