Jerry, Tump, and ALL,
Yes, that test WAS a MUTHA! A couple of the questions required
trigonometry, which I can barely spell, let alone use. Shoulda spent
less time in high school dropping my pencil and looking...well, you
know.
Hang in there Tump, you'll get it next time and it will be that much sweeter.
As to Jerry's question, I believe that 90 took the test and over 60 passed.
Achieving recognition for certificants is now one of NABCEP's most
important jobs, IMO. We've been spending so much time and energy
setting up the test that there just wasn't much left over. Now that
we're off the ground with the test, we can start doing more
"advertising". I'd also like to see us start looking into getting
some group health and/or liability insurance plans going. It would
seem to me that any insurance company with half a brain (oxymoron?)
who provides liability insurance would see the value of covering
someone with proven knowledge in their field.
For right now, however, I see passing the NABCEP test as a "personal
best" sort of thing. Just having taken the test, whether you passed
or not, shows that you've probably got the right "stuff".
Best, bob-O
