Tubular towers and PV mounting [RE-wrenches]

Darryl,

If this were actually true, flagpoles and tall light towers (not to mention
large and small WECS) would all buckle and fall every time a breeze
kicked-up. Tubular towers are fine for this kind of application as long as
the solar component is mounted sufficiently low on the column. The bottom
section of tower would need to be slightly heavier wall than normal to
absorb the additional wind loading.
