We recently specified a system for a 10 ft wide entry with a slider gate,
and successfully installed the track/gate and mechanisms with a US11 module
on a pole nearby to bring it out of the tree shade. Call Builders Fence Co
in Sun Valley at 818-504-3700 and have Steve or Sid fax you some info, but
they have 4 centers in CA and one in Tacoma. They distribute the GTO/PRO
series gate openers with an available solar option that you can supply the
panel for. I believe GTO is the manufacturer of the Mighty Mule EZ Gate
Opener but that may be a different company altogether.

Graham,
It's been several years since I had any dealings with gate openers, but
I did learn to stay away from products manufactured by GTO enterprises
in Tallahassee, FL. Don't know if they're still in business and if so,
did they improve the product. Anybody know?
Regards,

I'm currently looking for a PV based, automatic gate operator. A
customer has a 12 ft. metal swing gate which she wishes to solarize.
Any direction, web link or advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Graham Owen
