pole mount 150 watt modules [RE-wrenches]

On the entire subject of pole mounts:

Look at how the big highway billboards are being erected these days,
look at the surface area of the billboards themselves (huge). Latest designs
seem to be leaning towards (poor choice of words) a single large diameter
pipe, non galvanized (can't speak for tropical enviro's), embedded in a
equeally huge concrete footer, or bolted to a very large anchor plate. They
have the engineering for these all figured out, and I can't recall one ever
falling down or rusting out. Even overkill can get excessive....... If there
would be a better use for salvaged oil drilling pipe, I can't think of it.
Its high strength , relatively cheap, (especially compared to new
galvanized) and available anywhere on the planet, same with well casing.
Anyone ever see a schedule 40 well casing rust out? A qualified welder can
cost effectively piece together whatever length is required saving large
dollars over new material, and its a GOOD thing to recycle anyway.
