Brother IntelliFAX 2800 needs sinewave? [RE-wrenches]

[Mark Downing, Hurshtown Alt. Power]

Does anyone have any experience with the Brother IntelliFAX 2800 Laser plain
paper FAX? Specifically, would it survive on modified sinewave power?
I know it is iffy, but was wondering if anyone has tried.
