Jeff,
I got some Absolyte IIP batteries surplus about 7 years ago, and sold
sets to about 5 customers. They have been excellent. The normal price
however was extremely high.
In one system, the controller was left at normal flooded voltage by
accident. After a year or so, they showed symptoms of high
resistance. Water was added, just enough to saturate the pads between
the plates, and they have been working every since.
