Caution, gang [RE-wrenches]

Hello everyone, a word of caution.

Sometimes a Wrench list member may want to forward a message to someone, either for some feedback or just for the informational content that might be useful. No problem, except for one thing.

At the bottom of every message you receive is a footer which contains a link that can be used to unsubscribe you from the list. It is surrounded by ASCII lines, and looks something like this:

>This email was sent to: xxxxxxxx at sdlfjsaj.com
>
>EASY UNSUBSCRIBE click here: http://topica.com/x/?xxxxxxxx
>Or send an email to: RE-wrenches-unsubscribe at topica.com

These will not show up in your posts to the Wrenches list, because Topica's software searches them out and strips them off before posting. (In fact, maybe I have not altered the above footer example enough, and Topica may find it and remove it from this message.)

So, any time you send any Topica list message on to someone, be sure to edit out the link that can unsubscribe you.
