DC-GFP/2 protection [RE-wrenches]

AC and DC grounds should be bonded, whether they are carried to a single rod
with two ground clamps or run to multiple rods bonded together. If the AC is
grounded but the DC is not, there is a potential voltage difference between
the two sides. A ground surge is picked up by supply and distribution
wiring, especially when directly buried. The inverter(s) are the point where
the voltage difference ends up, and the electronics within release the
compressed smoke from which all electronic components are manufactured.

At least that's the way we do it...
