American energy use [RE-wrenches]

Power use around here is 111 kWh a month average over 3 years. I can
probably cut that by 30% if I let the inverter use sleep mode, but then my
cordless phone goes dead.
Power is from a 1500 Watt Whisper with backup from a diesel that runs 3 - 4
hours per gallon. Worst case with no wind, 3 hours of diesel a day.
Battery bank is 1400 AH @ 12 volt of Trojan L-16, they are getting tired but
still trucking along.
Hope soon to be switching to 24 or possibly 48 volt, big expense, battery
bank, inverters,
hell you know what it takes to do it!
