Hypalon Cable [RE-wrenches]

Frank,

My point was that many cables can be used applications other than there
listing, but they will not pass the scrutiny of a sharp inspector because
they have not passed a test for that application by a Nationally Recognized
Testing Laboratory (NRTL). If you are convinced that it won't cause a
problem for your system, and no inspector is going to look at it--no
problem. For client's system that will be inspected you need that evidence
from a NRTL that it will work in the environment you are putting it in.

The only other option is to get a PE to do and evaluation and wet stamp a
drawing (good luck).

Bill.

Bill,
That clarifies this to a certain respect. I will have to check what UL
listing the orange stuff I use to see if it is okie dokie for applications
in
battery banks. It very well may not be listed for what I use it for, but I
have soaked this stuff in just about every toxic thing I can find, and it
does not degrade. Just my two cents worth.......
